Bloom together: 5,000 roses for Wittenberge for the 2027 garden show!

A lot is happening in Wittenberge in anticipation of the State Garden Show 2027! Under the motto “Wittenberge is blooming”, Masha Lofft has launched an exciting participatory initiative that invites citizens to creatively participate in the event. It starts on July 7th, when the first felted roses are made in the Galerie am Stern, Bahnhofstraße 88. The aim of the campaign is to create over 5,000 roses together, which will create an impressive mural. Masha will guide participants every Wednesday from 4 p.m. and show how beautiful works of art are created from wool.

The campaign not only has an artistic character, but also a social component. Some of the materials will be sold at a surcharge in order to ultimately finance a tree that will be planted at a representative location within Wittenberg during the garden show. There is also the option of felting your own boutonnieres, which can be integrated into everyday life - that's sure to make a good impression!

Commitment and volunteerism

Another important component for the success of the State Garden Show is the voluntary commitment of citizens. Sabrina Klabuhn, who was hired by the Wittenberge State Garden Show 2027, coordinates the helpers and encourages everyone to get actively involved. When asked how one can help, she mentions numerous possibilities, be it at events or city tours. A get-together for volunteers is already being planned to exchange ideas and work together on Wittenberg's blooming future.

Mayor Dr. Oliver Hermann underlines the potential that the State Garden Show has for the city. His statement makes it clear that this event is not only a celebration for flower lovers, but also a key project for sustainable urban development. The aim is to increase the quality of life for the residents and to further develop existing inner-city green spaces in a resource-saving manner, as can be read on wittenberge.de.

On Schuster's horse through Wittenberge

Wittenberge will become an important host with the eighth Brandenburg State Garden Show, and preparations are already in full swing. The core areas of the show, such as the Clara Zetkin Park, the city park, the drinking hall, the water tower and the innovation quarter on Külzberg, are lovingly prepared. A total of around 330,000 day guests are expected for the 2027 State Garden Show, another sign that the event will not only attract locals, but also many visitors!

For anyone who would like to find out more about the garden show, LAGA 2027 Wittenberge gGmbH offers various contact options: Managing Director Ernst Volkhardt and his team are available to answer questions and pursue any interest in the offers surrounding the garden show.
