Flowering together: 5,000 roses for Wittenberge for the garden show 2027!

In Wittenberge, a lot is happening in anticipation for the State Garden Show 2027! Under the motto "Wittenberge blooms on", Masha Lofft launched an exciting hands-on initiative that invites citizens to create creative participation in the event. It starts on July 7th when the first felted roses are manufactured in the gallery on Stern, Bahnhofstrasse 88. The aim of the campaign is to shape over 5,000 roses together, which will result in an impressive mural. Masha will guide the participants every Wednesday from 4 p.m. and shows how beautiful works of art are created from wool.

The action not only has an artistic character, but also a social component. Part of the materials are sold with a surcharge to ultimately finance a tree that is planted in a representative place within Wittenberg during the garden show. There is also the option of felting your own pilot flowers that can be integrated into everyday life - that certainly makes a good impression!

Another important building block for the success of the State Garden Show is the voluntary commitment of the citizens. Sabrina Klabuhn, who was hired by the State Garden Show 2027 Wittenberge, coordinates the helpers and encourages everyone to actively contribute. When asked how to help, she gives numerous options, be it at events or city tours. A regulars' table for volunteers is already being planned to exchange ideas and work together in the blooming future of Wittenberg.

Mayor Dr. Oliver Hermann underlines the potential that the state garden show for the city. In his statement it becomes clear that this event is not only a festival for flower lovers, but also a key project for sustainable urban development. The aim is to increase the quality of life for the residents and to further develop existing inner -city green spaces in a resource -saving manner, as can be seen on wittenberge.de.

Wittenberge becomes an important host, and preparations are already underway. The core areas of the show, such as the Clara-Zetkin-Park, the city park, the drinking hall, the water tower and the innovation quarters on the Külzberg, are lovingly prepared. A total of around 330,000 day guests are expected for the State Garden Show 2027, another sign that the event will not only attract locals, but also many visitors!
