Flood warning: Elbe in Wittenberge reaches critical level!
On September 18, 2025, the water level of the Elbe in Wittenberge could lead to worrying flooding. Martin Ferch from the city of Wittenberge warns the population and recommends taking the authorities' advice seriously. Flood warning levels in Brandenburg
The flood warning levels in Brandenburg are clearly defined:
- Alarmstufe 1: Kleines Hochwasser, erste Anzeichen der Ausuferung.
- Alarmstufe 2: Mittleres Hochwasser, Überflutung von Grünland.
- Alarmstufe 3: Großes Hochwasser, erste Grundstücksüberflutungen.
- Alarmstufe 4: Sehr großes Hochwasser, Überflutung weitläufiger Flächen.
