Tickets for the State Garden Show 2027: Rush for discounted tickets!
A cold Friday morning in Wittenberge, and the first enthusiastic visitors are already queuing up in front of the culture and festival hall. It is October 24th, 2025, the day on which advance sales begin for the eagerly awaited State Garden Show (Laga) 2027, which is to take place in Lutherstadt. Erika Massow is not deterred by the frosty temperatures and will be on site from 7:15 a.m. At 9 a.m. she is rewarded for her endurance and becomes the first customer to receive a discounted season ticket.
In total, hundreds of people are waiting to get their hands on one of the 5,000 exclusive tickets, which are available at half price of 75 euros. This season ticket ensures access to 187 days of gardening fun. But Laga offers even more: In addition to the discounted tickets, there is a second sales phase in which a further 5,000 tickets are available at a price of 110 euros and a discount of 27%. Those interested can also look forward to a voucher that can later be converted into tickets, which is particularly popular with those waiting, as many want to use them for gifts.
Attractions and special promotions
The State Garden Show will not only be a highlight for garden lovers, there is also a special children's ticket for dog owners for 25 euros. A discounted season ticket is even offered for loyal four-legged friends. Laga Wittenberge announces various attractions that are intended to make the event unforgettable: From the Clara Zetkin Park to the Elbe promenade with a Ferris wheel and an open-air cinema to the historic city park, Wittenberg will be transformed into a truly blooming paradise.
But while we are looking forward to it, there are also organizational hurdles. Laga managing director Ernst Volkhardt reports technical difficulties with the online ticket shop. Despite these challenges, interest in the Laga remains unbroken, which is underlined by the numerous people waiting. Mayor Oliver Hermann and District Administrator Christian Müller are also among the first to buy tickets, but they pay the full price so that the citizens can also benefit from the discount - the difference is donated to the Wittenberg Hospice.
Construction and planning for the future
So the preparations are in full swing. Construction work to develop a new multifunctional building in the “Am Stadtgraben” allotment garden area has already begun, and the event tower from Bad Dürrenberg has been in Wittenberg since August 22nd. Landscaping and future attractions are part of a long-term plan that will also create new sports and play areas as well as lounge areas. The city park is being revitalized and the drinking hall is being renovated to offer visitors a new place to go.
Although the request to postpone the Laga to 2028 is causing excitement, the passionate commitment of the people shows that Wittenberg is ready for a big event. “The rush for tickets is surprising,” comments Hermann, and the noticeable interest encourages the city to take further steps towards the garden show.
