Cultural summer in Prignitz: fun and music from July 18th to 20th!

An exciting weekend awaits the residents and visitors of Prignitz! From July 18th to 20th, 2025, the region will host numerous events in the towns of Perleberg, Pritzwalk, Wittenberge and other small towns. There is something for everyone here, from cultural highlights to entertaining markets and sporting activities.

On Friday, July 18th, the weekend in Groß Pankow starts with a mini music festival in the Kulturfarm. The event will entertain people from 6 p.m. and Frankfurt band The OhOhOhs will perform at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online from just 19.50 euros. At the same time, the zoo in Perleberg opens its gates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and last entry is at 5 p.m. - an ideal destination for families. The weekly market takes place in Pritzwalk from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., where fresh products and regional delicacies are offered. If you would like to take a leisurely walk, you can take part in a project walk on floodplain development in Rühstädt, which takes place from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Registration is required by July 15th.

Festive highlights and activities

Saturday, July 19th, brings numerous other highlights. The 700th anniversary of the village will be celebrated in Bruges from 11 a.m. Here visitors can look forward to a colorful program with a mandolin orchestra, dance groups and folk sounds from Several Gents. Things get sporty at the Podbielski Run in Dallmin, where children and adults can start on different routes. For those interested in culture, the public dress rehearsal of the opera “Rusalka” in Klein Leppin at 4 p.m. is an absolute must. In Wittenberge, a tour of the site of the old sewing machine factory and a dance party with DJ Finn Larson are on the program.

On Sunday, July 20th, the atmosphere will be contemplative with church services in Low German in Groß Breese and Quitzöbel. The mini music festival will continue at the Kulturfarm in Groß Pankow from 10 a.m., and the second public dress rehearsal of the opera “Rusalka” will take place at 2 p.m. The musical conclusion of the weekend is the concert “Klangshadow” by Ensemble X at 4 p.m. in the Seetorart Gallery in Lenzen.

In addition, Prignitz offers many other cultural events in the coming months, which also fit in well with a visit during the festival. Brandenburg Industrial Culture Day will be celebrated on August 9th, while an event will take place in the Alte Mälzerei in Pritzwalk on September 20th.
