On October 1st, 2025 it will be that time again: the 22nd. Apprenticeship exchange in Zehdenick takes place in the sports hall of the Georg Mendheim Upper School Center. The event opens its doors from 9:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is aimed primarily at tenth graders from secondary schools in Gransee, Zehdenick and Löwenberg. This event is organized by Regio Nord under the direction of Andrea Ziemke.
This year, the trade fair offers a colorful spectrum of apprenticeships at around 60 stands, ranging from electronics technicians to metal workers and nursing specialists. Well-known employers are on site such as AWU Oberhavel, the police, the Chamber of Crafts and the Gottschalk car dealership, to name just a few. The aim is to make young people aware of the different career opportunities and to get them excited about their own future.
Individual discussions and practical insights
An important highlight of the apprenticeship exchange is the individual conversation that each student can have with a company representative. These short, ten-minute conversations offer an excellent opportunity to receive direct feedback on your own appearance and your application portfolio. The metal and electrical industry's information truck is also available, where participants can not only collect information but also experiment themselves.
This year there is also an Actionbound rally for the students with exciting knowledge questions. This way they can find out more about different professions and their requirements in a playful way. The winners of last year's rally were able to look forward to free tickets to the Christmas market in Liebenwalde - an incentive that will certainly put a smile on the faces of many young people again this year. The price for this year's campaign is still being planned, but interest continues unabated.
Training offers and nationwide initiatives
This event is not only important locally. On the nationwide platform of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce, IHK apprenticeship exchange, there are currently around 40,000 training places and dual study programs listed that offer regional and national opportunities. Students also have the opportunity to complete career-oriented internships, which allows them to gain deeper insights into various professional fields.
The apprenticeship exchange in Zehdenick is therefore a valuable contribution to career orientation and should be seriously considered by every young person.
