nice weather, radiant faces: On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the partnership between Pritzwalk and Winsen, the Mayor of Pritzwalker Dr. Ronald Thiel a delegation from Winsen for the summer tour. Over 100 participants enjoyed the bike tour, which took place in the best summer weather. The group started the picturesque route through the Prignitz, past fields, meadows and idyllic villages.

The tour of 40 kilometers comprised and led to a stop in Mesendorf. Here the group had the opportunity to visit the small railway museum and the historical museum railway "Pollo". After this cultural strengthening there was coffee and cake in a rustic restaurant, which further raised the sociable mood.

A look at the future

The goal of the summer tour was the cultural center in Pritzwalk. There, Mayor Thiel explained the plans to redesign the surrounding area of the cultural center, while the participants enjoyed bratwurst and cold drinks. The guests were enthusiastic about the beauty of the landscape and the warm hospitality of the Pritzwalker. Jessica Karbon, head of the Education, Social Affairs and Culture Department, emphasized that Pritzwalk and Prignitz are an ideal destination for Winsener cyclists. "There is really a lot to discover here," says carbon, which will certainly take some as an incentive for a visit.

The celebrations for the partnership are not only a reason to celebrate, but also a way to further deepen the exchange between the cities.
