Brandenburg is investing 27 million euros in the integration of refugees!

Something is happening in Brandenburg! From 2026, the country will provide widespread support for the socio-economic integration of people with a migration history. This is an important step in the right direction, as the funding will include up to 9 million euros annually from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) until 2028. Particularly in rural areas, where there is often a lack of resources, the aim is to strengthen rural districts and independent cities in their integration work. That reports City Report.

Economics and Labor Minister Daniel Keller emphasizes how crucial the integration of asylum seekers and refugees into the labor market is. The funding program is intended to help improve participation and reduce discrimination - central aspects of harmonious coexistence. Language is often the first hurdle: German courses for refugees are therefore also supported in order to make language acquisition easier and increase chances on the job market.

Important key data of the funding

The program is considered one of the largest ESF+ programs in Brandenburg for the EU funding period 2021-2027. Municipalities can submit their applications until September. The system is designed to be flexible and integrates existing funding requirements, which simplifies collaboration. Particularly interesting: There is the possibility of follow-up financing for integration offers from 2023 and 2024.

  • Jährliche Förderung: bis zu 9 Millionen Euro
  • Förderzeitraum: 2026 bis 2028
  • Gesamtsumme: 27 Millionen Euro aus dem ESF+
  • Besonderer Fokus auf ländlichen Raum

Minister René Wilke emphasizes the key role of municipalities in this integration process. Without them, successful integration could not succeed. The funding program will support many municipal initiatives and ultimately help people with a migration background feel more at home.

In a completely different area, but also aimed at improving the quality of life, the functions of the Dxdiag tool are available to technology and gaming fans. This program, which is built into Windows 10 and 11, can be a valuable help if you have problems with video and audio hardware. MiniTool explains that by typing “dxdiag” in the command prompt, users can immediately find out which DirectX components are running on their system and whether there may be problems with outdated drivers.

And what does this have to do with integration? Quite simply: technological competence and access to modern tools are now mainstays in professional integration. Anyone who develops their technical skills can not only increase their chances on the job market, but also assert themselves better in modern society.

The integration of people with a migration history is complex and requires the cooperation of many actors. But with a strong support program behind the municipalities, this path could perhaps be made easier and more successful. We can't wait to see what the next few years bring!
