Get involved digitally: New courses and meetings in Luckenwalde!
Nowadays, volunteer work is becoming increasingly important. The opportunities to get involved are diverse and adapt to the needs of those involved. A new online course offered by Betterplace Academy aims to promote this accessibility and develop new forms of digital volunteering. The program focuses on the needs of the committed people and at the same time offers practical learning content.
Flexibility seems to be the key: the course, aimed at NGOs, covers both different forms of digital engagement and important aspects of accessibility. Students can access a variety of materials, including videos with accompanying transcripts that can be used independently of the recordings. Katja Jäger, an expert in the field of digitalization and democracy, leads this free course, which can be taken at any time and from anywhere. There is also the option to take part in live webinars, which offer a contingent of free tickets.
Volunteer appointments and offers in Luckenwalde
There are also a number of events that further promote engagement. Three digital meetings, each lasting two hours, provide impulses and create space for exchange in small groups. Between appointments, around 30 to 60 minutes should be planned for in-depth tasks. Participation in at least two modules is a prerequisite for successful completion of the course. The dates are scheduled for September 9th and 23rd and October 7th, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The program culminates with a networking meeting in Luckenwalde. Under the motto “Change the world your way; Brandenburg Edition”, committed people can meet on November 4, 2025 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the main building of the VHS. The focus here will be on the personal exchange of ideas, which is a valuable opportunity for many volunteers to make new contacts and further develop projects.
Support for digital projects
Another significant initiative that supports engagement in the digital sector is the 100xDigital program. Organizations can apply for up to 24,000 euros here to implement digital projects. Up to 20,000 euros are earmarked for project implementation, while an additional 4,000 euros can be used for process support, coaching and specialist advice. The goal is to support organizations in identifying digital challenges and developing individual solutions together. Participation in the 100xDigital program also provides access to the community, which offers valuable inspiration for volunteer work during and after the program.
Conclusion: Whether in Luckenwalde or online, the opportunities to volunteer are more varied than ever before. Anyone who is interested should definitely take advantage of the offers and get involved. You can find further information about the courses and events here, here and here.
