Mysterious body discovery: Missing people from Luckenwalde finally found!
The body of a young woman who had been missing since August 2021 was found in Luckenwalde, a small town that has been marked by a painful history in recent years. Milina K., only 22 years old, was last seen in Nuthepark in the early hours of August 25th. Tagesspiegel reports.
The sad discovery took place last week in a forest in Saxony-Anhalt. The investigators are currently planning a search of a forest near Gräfenhainichen in order to find possible personal belongings of Milina K. The exact circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body are not revealed in detail for tactical reasons. However, the criminal police already have a suspected man in their sights, who has been the focus of the investigation since summer 2022. The suspect's name is known to authorities; however, there have been no arrests so far , as RBB24 adds.
The last moments of Milina K.
Milina K. was last seen between 1:00 and 3:00 a.m. in Nuthepark. Two weeks after her disappearance, the Potsdam public prosecutor initially expressed optimism that Milina would be found alive. But hope faded and investigators opened a case on suspicion of homicide, which caused great concern in the small community.
Numerous witnesses were interviewed and searches were carried out, even using police divers. However, these measures were unsuccessful. Ultimately, the public prosecutor's office offered a reward of 5,000 euros for relevant information, whereupon 24 tips were received, which are now being thoroughly examined by the investigators , as the information from RBB24 suggests.
Further investigations and findings
The body found now brings the investigation into a new phase. The fact that a suspect has not yet been arrested raises questions. It appears that detectives are still actively searching for additional evidence that could lead to the arrest of the suspect. Even though the suspect has not yet been officially charged, the tension in the community is palpable. This is how the Tagesspiegel reports on the current status.
