In Brandenburg an der Havel, the eyes of the club representatives light up because MBS has generously provided donations amounting to 75,000 euros. This sum was ceremoniously announced on November 4, 2025 Andreas Schulz, the chairman of the board of MBS, and mayor Steffen Scheller hand over. The event focused on the projects for which the clubs had applied for support.
“It is crucial to promote the club’s hometown projects,” said Schulz and encouraged other clubs to submit their applications. Thanks to the commitment of MBS, over 202,000 euros have already flowed into volunteer work in the region in 2024. “Social commitment is of great importance to us,” emphasized Schulz and emphasized the need for continuity in funding.
Focus on club projects
The clubs presented a wide range of projects, ranging from support in sports to cultural initiatives and educational offerings. The projects supported included:
- Förderverein Wasserball Brandenburg an der Havel e.V. für ein internationales Ostercamp.
- Jampression e.V. für ein Projekt in Strasbourg.
- BSG Stahl Brandenburg e.V. für Farbmarkierungsroboter.
- VfL Brandenburg e.V. zur Aufbewahrung von Sportgeräten.
- Historischer Verein Brandenburg e.V. für den Jahresbericht 2024/25.
- Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Bertolt-Brecht-Gymnasiums e.V. für den Werkzeugkauf.
- DLRG Stadtverband Brandenburg e.V. für Notfallrucksäcke.
- Verein zur Förderung der Kirchenmusik für ein Probenwochenende.
- Collegium musicum Brandenburg e.V. zur Finanzierung eines Sommerkonzertes 2026.
- FSV Viktoria Brandenburg 1990 e.V. für die Ausstattung im Judo.
Steffen Scheller praised the numerous projects and their value for city life. He called on those present to continue reporting on good projects to enrich city life. MBS has an impressive balance sheet of 4.3 million euros for social commitment in 2024 and planned an additional 8 million euros from profit distributions for charitable purposes.
