Armed Bundeswehr exercise: Soldiers conquer Mecklenburg forests!

In the coming days, the north of Germany will become the scene of military exercises when the Jägerbattalon 413 of July 7th does the "Blue Greif" company. The Jägerbataillon 413 in detail

The Jägerbattalon 413 has its location in the Ferdinand-von-Schill-Kaserne in Torgelow, where it operates under the motto "Fels in the storm of time" since the conversion in October 2015. This association was originally a tank battalion and has been part of the Panzergrenadierbrigade 41 "Western Pomerania" since 2002. The new coat of arms and the motto are a sign of the historical depth and the tradition that are anchored in the battalion. Soldiers of the hunter battalion have already participated in operations in various crisis areas, including in the Balkans, in Afghanistan and Iraq. They also show that they are flexible in terms of use, whether at home or internationally.

The total strength of the hunter battalion is up to 869 soldiers who organize themselves in three light companies. These companies practice complex scenarios and use modern large equipment such as the GTK boxer. In particular, the 1st company provides logistical support by organizing ammunition, fuel and meals. The association is therefore well established in order to be ready for both the state and alliance defense.
