A serious traffic accident took a tragic turn in Hardenbeck on the evening of July 9th. As the East Police Department reported that a serious incident occurred on State Road 152 around 6:30 p.m. A 55-year-old woman was driving her Toyota towards Hardenbeck when her vehicle left the road for unknown reasons and crashed head-on into a tree.

The emergency services that were immediately alerted did everything they could to save the driver's life. Intensive resuscitation measures were carried out, but the woman died at the scene of the accident. A rescue helicopter, which was also called in, was no longer able to help. The police and volunteer fire departments from Hardenbeck and Funkenberg were on site to bring the situation under control. For safety reasons, the L152 was completely closed until shortly before 11 p.m. in order to carry out the necessary investigations and clean-up work.

Similar tragic accidents have already given rise to concern in Germany in the past. In another case on the B11 north of Patersdorf, like this Lower Bavaria Police Headquarters reported that a 62-year-old driver was killed in a collision. Here too, an expert was called in to determine the cause of the accident. Such incidents highlight the need for more prevention and awareness on the roads.
