No space for a new nursing home in Templin: City is facing problems!
Templin, Deutschland - The question of suitable nursing homes in Templin has been employing the city council since the end of last year. At that time, the UBW faction asked the city administration to search for a property for a new nursing home with around 200 places. This concern was unanimously supported by the city council on February 26. However, the current results of the area search, which were presented in the last meeting of the urban development committee, throw a shadow on the plans.
Tim Markwardt, the department head for building and property management, reported that there are no suitable free construction areas for a nursing home of this size inside. In order to precisely quantify the space requirement, he called the values: With a single -storey construction, around 5,500 m² would be required, while around 4,000 m² would be sufficient for a two -storey variant. The problem: the city has no such areas in property.
sobering results for nursing home plans
A possibly suitable area could be the former DRK nursing home in the street of peace, which is around a hectare and is owned by the Uckermark district. However, the district would not sell the property below value, which means an estimated price of at least 600,000 euros. The landing value there amounts to 50 euros per m². There are also other areas in private hand, the value of which is between 50 and 75 euros per m². However, due to the large order of magnitude, the owners have not yet been contacted.
The members of the committee were disappointed with the results, another discussion did not take place. Harald Engler declared the test order done. The city administration will present an information template on this topic at the next city council on July 16.
