Melzow Summer Festival: Fun for the whole family despite the rain!

Despite the gloomy weather forecast, the Melzow Summer Festival on August 23, 2025 brought out a full house and beaming faces not only among the little ones, but also among the adults. Organizer Steffi Schwarz was pleased that the rain did not deter even the most loyal festival visitors. “We were really happy that the guests came and celebrated with us with great enthusiasm,” she emphasized.

The diverse program included numerous activities for all age groups. Nordkurier reports that Among other things, wheelbarrow racing, boot throwing, bucket spraying and archery were on the agenda. Stacking beer crates also caused a lot of laughter and exciting moments.

A celebration for the whole family

An important part of the festival were the numerous participants. The fire brigade, DRK, women's group and nature rescue team provided active support and contributed to a cheerful atmosphere. The highlights included the magic show by “Rufini” and the acrobatics performance by ten-year-old Frieda from Blankenburg, which captivated the guests. The Melzow Choir provided musical accompaniment and received much applause, while the hunting horn players from “WEISSE BERGE” ceremoniously opened the festival.

Whether it was face painting, a bouncy castle or a flea market, there was something for every taste. Uckermarkmagazin adds that The diverse culinary offerings ranged from coffee, cake and ice cream to grilled food and chips. The festival was rounded off in the evening with live music by Marcus Christiansen and the Red Cross carnivalists, who put everyone in a good mood.

Immerse yourself in the festivities

Of course, a summer party also includes a bit of thrill. The activities such as the Farmers' Olympics and quad biking were impressive - the children were enthusiastic and had fun. There were also incentives for adults to find inspiration at the flea market or stop by the craft stalls that offered handmade products. Family Speci highlights that Such events are not only entertaining, but also offer families the opportunity to gain valuable experiences together.

Finally, Steffi Schwarz thanked the members of the festival committee and the supporters who made this event possible. The event was supported by the Oberuckersee community, local associations and sponsors and shows how important community engagement is for the community.

So we can only hope that the Melzow Summer Festival will attract numerous visitors again next year - with or without rain!
