On Monday, October 27, 2025, a serious motorcycle accident occurred on district road 21, between Bölkow and Mühl Rosin, at around 1:40 p.m. A 17-year-old cyclist lost control of his vehicle on a curve, fell and slipped into the oncoming lane. As a result, there was a collision with an oncoming Smart car, which resulted in life-threatening injuries to the young driver. Uckermark Kurier reports that the motorcyclist was immediately flown to the Rostock clinic in a rescue helicopter.
The accident scene was closed for several hours while police officers conducted their investigation. An expert from DEKRA was called in to analyze the course of the accident in collaboration with the public prosecutor's office. Both the motorcycle and the Smart were no longer roadworthy after the impact, and the accident damage is estimated at over 10,000 euros.
