New wind at Oli & Pia: Business takeover is surprising!
In the heart of Templin, a lot has happened at the traditional toy shop "Oli & Pia". After almost 25 years of tireless efforts led by Jessika Stöckel, who swung the scepter for 14 years, there is now a change. From July 4th, Julia Suckow will take over the business with fresh vigor. Jessika, who worked as a dental technician in Berlin, returns to her home country to find more time for her family and would like to thank the loyal customers.
The selection in the "Oli & Pia" toy shop is colorful and diverse. Here you will find not only wooden toys and family games, but also everything the children's heart desires: from princesses to horse toys, experiment games, books and even outdoor utensils. The special individual pieces that can be personally personalized are also still offered. Suckow, who previously worked in the field service of the fashion industry, has a good feeling for the needs of her new customers. "The move to the toy industry is a conscious decision for me," said the new owner.
A look into the future
On July 4th at 2 p.m. the shop will be reopened, and visitors can look forward to a happy celebration, which comes up with surprises, balloons and face painting. The new owner is full of ideas and wants to maintain the family character of the business, whereby personal advice will remain an integral part of the offer. "The name and concept of the business remain unchanged," explains Julia Suckow.
The toy industry as a whole is in motion like a pendulum. The [Statista] (https://de.statista.com/themen/727/ Spielwar industries/) reports that sales development has broken down, but the industry nevertheless records high sales. In 2024, sales in Germany were around 4.4 billion euros and remained above the level before pandemic. Despite youthful challenges, industry is still an important industry that employs more than 9,700 employees: inside.
- The USA lead the global market with the highest sales.
- Lego remains the highest sales of toy manufacturers worldwide, followed by Mattel and Hasbro.
- in Germany, Ravensburger, the company behind many popular games, achieves record sales and secures third place behind Mattel.
"Oli & Pia" is not just a business, but a relationship point for young and old in Templin. With a fresh face at the top, the community is looking forward to an exciting future in the world of toys. What could be more beautiful than putting a smile on the face of the children?
