New restaurant in Prenzlau: Maritime flea market inspires and donates!
There's a lot going on in Prenzlau at the moment! The popular restaurant “Am Kap” is being redesigned and has caught the attention of locals. Chorona Immobilien GmbH has taken over the restaurant and plans to reopen it with a breath of fresh air and a new operator who is known for his Italian-German cuisine and comes from the region.
As news of the change of ownership spread, interest was high. In order to properly celebrate the renovation and sell memorabilia from the old days, a maritime flea market was organized. This was so popular that there were long queues in front of the venue and the items on offer were quickly sold out. The flea market was a complete success and brought in an impressive 3,500 euros for the Prenzlau animal protection association. The donation handover took place at the Prenzlau animal shelter and is a testament to the community's solidarity.
Remodeling and support
Chorona Immobilien GmbH is making a six-figure investment to renovate the restaurant. The design not only includes a facade renovation, which has already begun, but also the renewal of windows and doors. The interior work and furnishings are carried out by Prenzlauer Möbelwerke, who are known for having a good knack for creative solutions. The reopening of the lakeside restaurant is planned for this year, which is already triggering anticipation among future guests.
Although the focus is on the positive developments in Prenzlau, international news casts a shadow over political events in other parts of the world. For example, Georgia is currently in the spotlight as democracy there is increasingly eroding. The US government has expressed concern about the growing influence of Russia, China and Iran. The US legislature plans to set an example against corruption and for human rights through the Megobari Act.
In Georgia, people have been protesting against their government's authoritarian tendencies for over 200 days. The situation there has implications not only for civil liberties but also for international relations, as the government is canceling contracts with Western consortia and leaning toward Chinese companies instead. This shows how important it is to protect and promote democracy and human rights on a global level.
