Sharp grades and big plans: Scherpf-Gymnasiasts shine during the graduation!
Last weekend it was finally time: The high school graduates of the Christa-and-Peter Scherpf-Gymnasium in Prenzlau celebrated their ceremony in the Uckerseehalle. Headmaster Ludger Melters welcomed the proud graduates, their families as well as the teacher and the support association, and recalled how the born in 2025 began his way to school in August 2019 with 86 students. In the 10th grade, eight more young talents were added.
The performance of the high school graduates was particularly gratifying: of 57 test subjects, both one student and a student made it to the dream grade of 1.0. A total of five other graduates had achieved an average one, which raised the average grade of the year to 2.1 - a little better than the national average of 2.2.
on the way to the future
A look at the subjects shows a clear strength in biology, history and mathematics, which were particularly emphasized by Melters. He expressed hope that the region can return to the mathematical traditions of the 1990s. With 29 percent of the graduates who are planning a social year, there is also a remarkable trend: a year ago it was only 14 percent.
In terms of career choice, interesting trends are emerging. While 42.6 percent started in a manual training in the previous year, it is only 18 percent this year. Instead, 23 percent of high school graduates strive for a dual degree, and 30 percent want to start a regular degree - this shows that academic training is very popular again.
regional and national perspectives
Where is the graduates go? Twelve of them have decided to go beyond the usual study locations such as Berlin, Rostock and Greifswald and even squint to Vienna. Here Melters emphasized the importance of down -to -earthness and that national experience for the development of the region is crucial.
These developments are in the context of general high school statistics in Germany. According to Statista, a high school number of approx. 259,300 was recorded nationwide in 2022. Throughout Germany, the diarrhea, which was 4.6 percent in 2023, shows that the requirements have increased in recent years.
The challenges and opportunities that the Abitur offers are inextricably linked to the educational structures in Germany, where education issues are state matter and there are differences in the examination regulations and the notes. It is all the more gratifying that the graduates of the Christa-and-Peter Scherpf-Gymnasium with strengthened motivation break into an exciting future.
Last but not least, Melters thanked all those who contributed to the success of the year and wished the graduates a successful prom. This message increases the community spirit that has existed beyond school.Details | |
