V. was at the start with five self-made soap boxes, which underlined that the fire brigade has been an integral part of this event since the beginning of the city wall festival. "We want to offer children and families a great time," explained Michel Preschel, who proudly pointed out a new vehicle that was created in cooperation with the Prenzlau Stadtwerke and small solar elements.

The idea for the construction of the colorful, painted boxes comes from the youth fire brigade, as youth manager Hardy Müller revealed. The race is not only a sporting event, but also a successful teamwork from the younger generation. Jolina, who took part in the Templin leisure facility "Die Island", presented a soap box built by children in a wood workshop, which was decorated with a lot of love and skill.

Anni, a ten -year -old participant, was on the road with the soap box of the Templin tourism association - it was her first race and the excitement was written on her face. She brought this new experience into a world full of fun and team spirit, welcome to the "Club of soap box drivers". The jury also had the task of evaluating the boxes with regard to their optical design, the route performance and the distance covered.
