Templin doctor reports: Life-saving help in Peru for those in need!

There is a special event in Cologne on Wednesday, November 5th that should attract many interested people. The Evangelical Church Community is organizing a project report in which the Templin jaw surgeon Dr. Andreas Pöhl reports on his missions in Peru. Dr. Pöhl, who has been traveling regularly to Peru for 30 years, has made it his mission to help patients with cleft lip, cleft jaw and palate who cannot afford operations in their home country. Two billion people worldwide suffered financial stress from out-of-pocket healthcare spending in 2019, and more than 340 million people were pushed into extreme poverty as a result. This alarming situation requires urgent action, not only from a health perspective, but also to combat hunger, poor nutrition and lack of education.
