Victoria Templin celebrates with a 3-1 win after a turbulent season!

On June 22, 2025, SC Victoria Templin will end the state league adventure after three years with a confident 3-1 victory over Concordia Buckow/Waldsieversdorf. The team used this last matchday to play their way into the hearts of the fans with an offensive start to the game.

The day was particularly emotional for coach Mario Hopp, who is leaving Templin after four years of valuable collaboration. Club boss Lars Ritter and deputy boss Ralf Leupolt warmly thanked Hopp, who is moving to Blau-Weiß Gartz. Hopp commented on his three years at the club, which were marked by a relegation battle, but will be remembered as a wonderful time. Player Maciej Piotr Czyzewski is also leaving the club after four years and scored a goal in the final game that secured the lead until halftime.

An exciting farewell

In the second period, Buckow increased the pressure, which led to 1-1 in the 61st minute. To give the game new impetus, Templin substituted three players. This decision turned out to be the right one, as Bennet Soboll provided the assist for Liam Horn, who made it 2-1 in the 68th minute. Just four minutes later it was Lamin Jatta who made it 3-1 with his goal and scored his last goal for Victoria Templin in the national league.

After the game, the fans celebrated a fitting end to the season with the team. A nice end to a time that was marked by ups and downs. Ralf Leupolt also paid respect to Roland Feldmann, who said goodbye after 15 years as stadium announcer.

A look ahead

The club is now planning to transform the team with targeted youth work. The future line-up should consist of younger talents who will bring new dynamics to the club. The commitments of newcomers like Max Bochmann (from SG Storkow) and other junior players show that Victoria Templin is hungry for new successes.

Looking at the league itself, it is worth taking a quick look at the structure of German football. The DFL (German Football League) plays a key role in the organization and marketing of German professional football, with revenues in the 2022/2023 season amounting to around 5.2 billion euros. A considerable amount that is generated primarily in the 1st Bundesliga, where the large markets for media rights and advertising also play a role. A topic that could be important for many regional league teams like Templin should they achieve promotion to higher leagues.

It remains to be seen how Victoria Templin will develop in the coming months. But one thing is certain: with the fresh wind of youth, the Templiners have to be on the radar in the future.
