At the same time, a 57-year-old car driver who smelled strongly of alcohol was stopped in Prenzlau. A breath alcohol test showed 1.00 per mille. The driver will have to expect a fine of 500 euros, two points in Flensburg and a one-month driving ban, according to the regulations on ADAC. A blood test could also result in even higher penalties if the result shows that your alcohol level is over 1.1 per mille, which would mean that you are completely unfit to drive.
In Germany there are clear blood alcohol limits that every driver should know. The following applies to new drivers under the age of 21 and during their probationary period: zero alcohol content.
