Champions League final in Munich: A football festival for 90,000 fans!

München, Deutschland - On May 31, 2025, Munich becomes the scene of the highly expected Champions League final, in which Paris Saint-Germain will compete against Inter Milan. Tens of thousands of football fans from France and Italy will travel to the Bavarian capital, whereby a slight outnumber of Italian supporters is expected due to the good train connections between Milan and Munich. The city of Munich, which has been organizing the final again since 2012, expects a touristy additional turnover of around 46.2 million euros, such as dehoga reported.

The Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association estimates that around 90,000 overnight stays are generated by the foreign visitors. Due to the high willingness to pay for hotel rooms in connection with the ticket prices for the final, many taverns are already partially booked.

fanzones and events

To celebrate the final, three large fanzones are set up. The "Champions Festival" in the Olympic Park will offer space for 23,000 people. Furthermore, the "PSG Fan Meeting Point" on Königsplatz and the "Inter Fanzone" on Odeonsplatz will also accommodate 23,000 and 16,000 people. The fan festival in the Olympic Park takes place from May 29 to June 1st and includes free sports games, concerts and public viewing to offer fans an unforgettable stay.

A special highlight will be the inclusion tournament on May 30th as part of the “We are all champions” campaign launched by the city, which aims to honor everyday heroes and tickets for the final. Visitors can apply for this initiative by May 27th. The event is flanked by numerous activities, including a legend tournament with former world-class players in the SAP Garden.

versatile events

In addition to the fan festival, a Echampions League final will be held in the Eisbach Studios on May 28, with eight participants fighting for the title. An exhibition on diversity, football and Munich takes place in the Pineapple Park and rounds off the offer. The ticket price for the legend tournament varies between 35 euros and 269 euros.

Munich, which has been hosting the Champions League final several times, offers the big football event not only the corresponding infrastructure, but also a variety of attractive events that will attract both indigenous and visitors. This comprehensive planning promises to make the upcoming weekend an unforgettable experience for all football enthusiasts.
