First Morebne camp in Passau: materials for the school of the future!
On April 8, 2025, the first Morebne camp will take place at the University of Passau. This event, which is organized by the Center for Teaching Formation and Department of Department (ZLF), aims to create free education materials (Open Educational Resources, Oer). The focus is on important topics such as peace and the challenges of the 21st century, which include climate change, wars and migration. The camp offers a platform for teachers, teacher students and extra-curricular educational practitioners to jointly develop innovative materials for a future-proof school lessons, such as Uni-passau.de
The event takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but participation is also possible from 2:00 p.m. Participation is open to beginners and experts and offers numerous interactive workshops and sessions that actively integrate the participants into the design process. One of the highlights of the program includes a workshop on the software for the joint creation of OER, as well as sessions that deal with racism, anti -Semitism and the experience in conversation with children. The program is characterized by an inclusive approach that meets both experienced and new users of Oer.
focus on sustainable education
The Micebne camp's goal is to exchange concrete teaching ideas and the development of new materials that aim at education for sustainable development (ESD). This educational concept enables students to understand the effects of their own actions and to make responsible, sustainable decisions. A central component of the challenges that educators have to deal with in this area is to accompany the students in the development of the necessary skills. Here, digital learning units provide valuable support for (prospective) pedagogues that are designed in particular for the school-practical teacher training, so bne-oer.de .
The integration of Oer in the classroom is not only innovative, but also absolutely necessary in order to align education to the current and future challenges. With topics like "The white pigeons are tired?" the space for critical reflection and interdisciplinary exchange is opened.

The Morebne Camp is just the beginning. Future camps on other relevant educational topics are already planned.
