Security in road traffic: Hessian police protect children!

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the Hessian police carried out a cross -border traffic safety campaign under the motto "Safe.Mobil.leben - Kinder Auflich". At this initiative, the protection of weaker road users, especially children, was in the foreground. In a large -scale campaign in which 295 police officers were involved, checks and preventive measures were carried out around schools, kindergartens and retirement homes.

The police turned important resources to increase traffic safety. At a total of 112 locations, more than 2,600 vehicles were checked, which led to 975 violations of the rules, among other things through speed violations and cell phone use at the wheel. A highlight of this campaign was the "Blitz for Kids" initiative in Frankfurt am Main, in which children made road users aware of their compliance. Thanks to these measures, a awareness of traffic safety could be created and dangers in road traffic.
