Biker friendship: A motorcycle-loving meeting in Westmünsterland

Numerous motorcyclists from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania recently gathered in Westmünsterland in a colorful demonstration for peace, democracy and tolerance. This annual tradition – the “Sternfahrt” – was particularly celebrated this year, and the Borken district was proud to host it. “Motorcycle enthusiasts are always happy about the opportunity to meet and make friends,” said former mayor Reinhard Mach, who accompanied the group presse-service.de reports.

The event is one of the highlights in the partnership program between the Borken district and its partner district Ludwigslust-Parchim. Now the last visit from Ludwigslust-Parchim took place among the bikers, with a group from Grabow, Boitzenburg, Karstädt and Ludwigslust accepting the invitation from the “Motorradfreunde Gemen”. The program included dinner together in a Borken restaurant and an exciting biker tour through the district and the nearby Netherlands.

A look into the future of star travel

The next “Sally for Peace, Democracy and Tolerance” will take place on May 4, 2024 and will again be held in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. District Administrator Dr. Kai Zwicker invites all interested motorcyclists from Westmünsterland to take part in this moving event. The tour starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Lindencenter in Ludwigslust and covers a distance of 190 km with several exciting stops, including a memorial in Boizenburg burlo-direkt.de reports.

It will be particularly moving to visit the memorial sites where participants will lay flowers. At 3:15 p.m. the rally will finally come to an end in the city harbor of Grabow with coffee and cake, which will offer a wonderful opportunity for discussions and further encounters.
