Horrible accident in Ludwigslust: driver's life in danger!

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, two serious accidents are making headlines. On Monday evening, around 3:44 a.m., the police in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district were called to a drastic traffic accident. A 23-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle while driving on the district road between Hülseburg and Twelve Apostles and veered off the road to the left. There her car collided with a retaining wall in an adjacent field and immediately caught fire. Thanks to the quick reaction of two first aiders, the young woman was freed from the burning car in time. Her life is now in danger and was flown to a nearby hospital by rescue helicopter. The road was completely closed for almost three hours while the accident was being investigated, which led to significant traffic delays. This reports Time online.

But that wasn't the only incident that night. At around 2:30 a.m., just a short time later, another tragic accident occurred. An ambulance traveling on a federal highway with its blue lights on ran over a pedestrian at a railroad crossing. The 33-year-old Bosnian, who lived in a nearby accommodation for asylum seekers, died at the scene of the accident. Fortunately, both the ambulance crew and the patient remained uninjured. The Ludwigslust police station has already started an investigation into this incident. Here, too, the federal highway was closed for several hours to allow the accident to be recorded. Details can be found at RTL.
