The total cost of the project is almost 150,000 euros, with around 90 percent financed by European funding from the LEADER program. This funding amounts to 128,343.87 euros, according to the website Leader Schaalsee reported. The new sanitary container will not only help to significantly improve the sanitary conditions on site, but will also be environmentally friendly - it is solar-powered and will be equipped with separate women's and men's toilets and shower facilities.

Significant improvements for the natural swimming pond

The renovation of the sanitary areas is particularly important for the locals, as the current facility is dilapidated and energy inefficient. The planned sanitary container, which will be set up at the natural swimming pond, should not only offer comfort, but also significantly increase the attractiveness of the bathing establishment. In addition, the hot water supply is made possible by solar thermal energy, and the electricity is supplied via a so-called balcony power plant.

Another positive aspect of the project is the compensation for the sealing of the area, which is achieved by expanding the adjacent orchard. This environmentally friendly measure underlines the city's commitment to sustainable development and the preservation of natural habitats.
