causes and prevention measures
Ein wachsendes Bewusstsein für die Gefahren des Mischkonsums von Alkohol und Drogen ist daher unbedingt notwendig. Experts warn of a high number of unreported cases in drug offenses and demand more intensive controls. The fact is that the number of cases depends heavily on the intensity of police controls, since conclusions cannot be drawn about the actual consumer levels.
In the Neubrandenburg region, the highest figures for drug violations were recorded. There, the figures rose from 348 in 2022 to 589 in 2024 and thus rank at the top in the national comparison. This proves that there is a need for action.
The alcohol boundaries in Germany are clearly regulated, but it remains to be seen how the responsible authorities will react to the positive trend of less alcoholic traffic accidents. Stricter rules and continuous educational work are central elements to make the streets safer.
