Future of the traffic patrol in Neustrelitz is at risk – help urgently sought!
There is currently great uncertainty in the Mecklenburg-Strelitz traffic police. The volunteer members feel increasingly overwhelmed and are worried about the future of the association. How daily news reports, traffic education projects for children and young people as well as safety training for seniors are particularly at risk. The situation is becoming more and more serious, because if there is a lack of potential helpers, the traditional club is threatened with dissolution in just two years.
In Neustrelitz, 12 active members of the association are involved and have invested around 250 hours in preparing pedestrian and bicycle tests this year. The responsibility of bringing over 1,000 children and young people through these programs cannot be underestimated. Chairman Karl Heinz Eggebrecht highlights the staff shortage and therefore urgently calls for support. Solutions are already being sought together with the state traffic police, the city and the district. A possible solution could be to apply for funding from the district to relieve the burden on the overworked members.
Challenges of traffic enforcement
The traffic watchdog situation reflects a broader issue that affects many voluntary organizations. The loss of members and the difficulty of finding new members are alarming. Successful applications and increased public relations work could be important building blocks here. At a time when volunteering is indispensable for society, the Mecklenburg-Strelitz traffic police would like to continue to make its valuable contribution in the future.
What can interested parties do to get involved? Anyone who has a good hand and would like to invest time is welcome to get in touch at any time. The future of the club is in the balance and more hands are needed to continue the commitment to road safety.
Technological support
In other areas of our lives, such as communication, technologies such as Google Translate moved in. The app overcomes language barriers by enabling text, voice and even image translation. This is particularly useful in a globalized world where cultural understanding and exchange are essential. Users can easily have important information translated quickly and efficiently.
Another tool that speeds up the flow of communication today is WhatsApp web. This makes it possible to send messages conveniently via the browser, which is particularly practical if you want to clarify something quickly during club work, for example. Simple steps like scanning a QR code make using it quick and easy. In today's world, when everything should become faster and more mobile, such tools are almost indispensable.
The Mecklenburg-Strelitz traffic police are not only fighting for survival, but also to face the challenges of the digital age and find innovative ways to continue to successfully fulfill their mission.
