Great fun in Plau: NDR MV summer party & bathtub rally starts!
On July 20, 2025, Plau am See will be the venue for the first NDR MV summer party of the year. Under the motto “Celebrate together”, visitors can expect a colorful program on the market square. For the little guests there is a romp and game module from the state sports association, while adults can test their knowledge with the game “What is where” at the NDR stand. NDR.de reports that the moderators Stefan Kuna (NDR) and Frauke Rauner (Nordmagazin) will lead through the afternoon.
The summer party is complemented by a diverse stage program that starts at 4 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. there will be a live broadcast from Nordmagazin, moderated by Thilo Tautz. A highlight of the evening will be the live music by Billy Rock, followed by DJ Pascal, who will provide the musical atmosphere.
Bathtub Rally 2.0 and city task
A special event at the summer party is the Bathtub Rally 2.0, in which up to 25 teams will take part. The opening of the play, fun and enjoyment mile on the Elde starts at 11:00 a.m., followed by the rally at 1:00 p.m. The award ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m., which will be celebrated together with a visit from prominent guests such as former mayor Norbert Reier. There will also be the NDR MV city task, in which at least 50 people will “ballet” in crazy swimwear for a prize of 1,000 euros for a good cause.
Practical information for visitors
To get there, it is recommended to carpool or use public transport. Due to the road blockages on Kirchstrasse, Strandstrasse and the waterways, parking options are being advertised on the sports field, Quetziner Strasse and Wallstrasse. The city of Plau asks visitors to keep the emergency routes clear and not to park vehicles in the closed areas in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The NDR MV summer party promises to be an unforgettable celebration in which fun, excitement and community are the focus. And if you miss the event, you can mark September 6th, 2025 in your calendar, because that's when the next summer party will take place in Bad Doberan. There is no entry fee for this, just like today's celebration. The event is supported by Lübzer and Lotto Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
