Eichsen celebrates carnival: key handover and colorful parades on November 11th!
The carnival season in Mühlen Eichsen started on November 11, 2025 with a colorful start that invited the community to celebrate. At exactly 11:11 a.m. Mayor Andreas Zerbe handed over the symbolic key to the new royal couple, Jennifer Fastner and Benjamin Dießner. This marked the official start of the 54th carnival season, and the carnival fans had already gathered in droves.
Over 30 enthusiastic fools walked together through Mühlen Eichsen and visited not only the kindergarten, but also the school and the local doctor's office. This shows how deeply rooted carnival is in the local culture. A traditional club song accompanied the opening and created an exuberant atmosphere.
A traditional festival for sure
Klaus Eberlein was responsible for the safe celebrations. He has been taking care of 11.11 since 1980. for order and security and proudly describes himself as a “carnival fool”. He led the participants along the busy B208 to ensure that everyone got to their destination safely.
ECC President Karsten Thiele happily announced that the new royal couple was the 100th member of the club. This shows that the Voluntary Carneval Club (ECC) continues to grow and the love for carnival in the region is constantly increasing.
Looking forward to further events
The organizers have already planned some highlights for the coming months. Under the motto “Village life in fools’ hands, we celebrate carnival in the country!” At least three evening events will take place on February 14th, 20th and 21st, 2026. In addition, the senior carnival on February 15th and the children's carnival on February 22nd, 2026 will round off the celebrations.
Advance ticket sales for these events also began on November 11th. at 11:11 a.m. Tickets are available both online at eventfrog.de and on certain dates at the volunteer fire department - a clear call to everyone to secure their seats early!
A look outside the box
In a completely different world, an incident at Washington Dulles International Airport caused a stir. A mobile lounge bus crashed into a dock, injuring 18 people who fortunately did not suffer life-threatening injuries. This shows that security should always be the focus in many places, even away from large celebrations.
This can be said: whether in Mühlen Eichsen or at the airport in Washington – people meet challenges with enthusiasm and a touch of festivity. May the carnival season bring us many happy hours!
