The hunting association supports Gadebusch with 2,000 euros for a rest area
In the heart of Gadebusch, the memory of the city's founding in 1225 is being celebrated with a redesign of the area around the famous century stone. This stone, which was erected in the city forest around 100 years ago, has not only acquired historical significance, but also as a small resting place for hikers and nature lovers. The Gadebuscher Jagdgenossenschaft II donated a generous 2,000 euros to revitalize this place and make it more accessible to locals and visitors. Walter Haase, the chairman of the hunting association, expresses the hope that the space will be put to good use and fondly remembers his childhood when he often visited the stone.
The transport of the stone monument is particularly steeped in history: the ancestors of Torsten Jenss, a member of the hunting association, helped load the stone onto a wagon and bring it into the city via the rails. Eight horses were necessary to transport the stone to the site. It was Jenss who suggested that the hunting association donate to mark the city's 800th anniversary, while the suggestion to set up the rest area came from deputy chairman Thomas Poschmann.
A good hand for the city
The Gadebusch II hunting cooperative, which has existed since the early 1900s, currently includes 90 land owners and eight hunters who together manage a total of around 1,500 hectares. She has consistently made a financial commitment to the city, and this current initiative is just further evidence of her ability to support the community. The next annual meeting of the hunting association will take place on November 14, 2025, where there will certainly be other important topics on the agenda.
In addition to the local support, there is also good news from the television world: Sacha Bali has won the sixteenth season of “A Fazenda” and received a prize of R$2 million. With 50.93% of the vote, he beat Sidney (2nd place, 23.98%) and Yuri (3rd place, 18.46%). In her closing remarks, the moderator Adriane Galisteu thanked Sacha for his perseverance and the courage to overcome the challenges of the format.
While Gadebusch shines with her history and community initiatives, Sacha Bali's victory shows how much passion and commitment can be found in modern entertainment. Whether local or media, the hope for a positive future connects all of these stories.
