Holiday campaign days: Discover over 150 jobs in Wismar and the surrounding area!
These days the action days by the sea are just around the corner and will take place from August 18th to 21st in Boltenhagen and on the island of Poel. These special days aim to bring vacationers together with exciting job offers in Wismar, Schwerin and northwest Mecklenburg. More than 150 job offers from various sectors - including education, healthcare, skilled trades and IT - are presented. The regional economy hopes that this initiative will provide a boost in new skilled workers and a more lively living environment.
Visitors can look forward to personal consultations with teams from the regional Welcome Service Center. These interviews not only provide information about the specific job offers, but also about how to gain a foothold in the region. The target group is particularly people who are considering a new start in the region during their vacation. The response in recent years has been consistently positive, and many families have decided to move to the area permanently as a result of this campaign. Martin Kopp, managing director of the Wirtschaftsfördergesellschaft Nordwestmecklenburg mbH, emphasizes that the campaign was a “respectable success”.
A diverse offering for everyone
Employers taking part in the day of action are invited to submit their open job offers to the relevant welcome centers. Information and contacts are easily accessible, for example for Northwest Mecklenburg at s.malchow@nordwestmecklenburg.de or by telephone at 03841/3040 9842. This initiative is implemented in cooperation with regional partners such as the Welcome Service Center Schwerin and the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, under the umbrella of Regionalmarketing und -entwicklung Westmecklenburg e. v.
It is particularly worth mentioning that some well-known companies, such as “Lehrer in MV” and providers of WINGS distance learning courses from the University of Wismar, will be represented on the opening day. The 2024 Vacation Days video will also be provided to give a foretaste of the upcoming events. If everything goes according to plan, the organizers expect up to 1,000 visitors over the four days.
Job hunting made easy
But it's not just the action days that offer a platform for job seekers. The Federal Employment Agency also provides one of the largest job exchanges in Germany with its free job search. Registered users can save their data and contact suitable employers. The agency particularly supports people without professional qualifications who often have difficulties finding a job.
Foreign students also have the opportunity to gain a foothold in Germany. You can complete internships or accept summer jobs, provided you are enrolled at a foreign university and adhere to the specified conditions. The Central Foreign and Specialist Placement Office (ZAV) is available to provide advice and assistance to anyone interested and answers questions about working in Germany.
The holiday campaign days are not only an interesting opportunity for holidaymakers, but also a contribution to the region's attractiveness as a place to work and live. If you are looking for new perspectives, you should keep this date in mind!
