Wismar shines: November lights with laser show in the old town!

The thirteenth edition of the popular “November Lights” event in Wismar’s old town once again attracted numerous visitors to the Hanseatic city on November 7th and 8th, 2025. Initiated by the Stadtwerke Wismar, the old town will shine in festive light under the motto “Wismar and the Hanseatic League”. Wismar, a charming Hanseatic city on the Bay of Wismar, has established itself as a lively center for culture and events. With around 43,000 residents and an eventful history that dates back to 1226, the city has a lot to offer. Festivities and activities

As in previous years, there is an extensive program during the “November Lights”. Visitors can look forward to shared tours of the old town, each beginning at the top of the Old Harbor. Whether musical performances or culinary delicacies, there is something for every taste!

A highlight is certainly the impressive laser show in the St. Georgenkirche, which takes place four times on both days: at 7, 7:30 p.m., 8 and 8:30 p.m. There will be a lantern making event for the little guests, which will take place on November 8th at 3 p.m. in the armory on Ulmenstrasse. A lantern parade, which also moves towards St. Mary's Church on Saturday at 5 p.m., rounds off the children's program.
