Wismar extra Heiko Müller: quiz show star with an exciting past!
What an interesting time for 61-year-old Heiko Müller from Hof Triwalk! On November 7th he will be seen in the popular ARD quiz show “Gefragt – Gejagt”, and the whole thing is a big step for him after decades of experience as an extra. This journey began in 1989 with an appearance on the police call 110 “Three Bottles of Tokajer”, where he is remembered for his charismatic presence and his striking appearance, previously with a mustache and now with a cap. Since then, Müller has appeared in front of the camera more than 20 times, including as a shipyard worker, forensic investigator and angler in the crime series “Soko Wismar”.
In preparation for the quiz show, which was recorded on September 19th, Müller was very excited. “However, I’m not allowed to reveal any details about the show,” he reports with a mischievous smile. Among the four candidates, he will do his best to defeat the “Hunter”. The anticipation is great because he has also tried out other quiz shows, for example Günther Jauch, but luck wasn't on his side there. On the MDR show “Quickie – The Quick Quiz,” however, he was able to enjoy an iPad after answering eight of twelve questions correctly.
From the camera to the culinary delights
Heiko, who, as a studied food technologist, does a lot of research for his topics, has had to reorient himself in recent years due to changes in his professional life. After 30 years in a company, he found himself looking for work. Nevertheless, Müller is not the type to sit back! With his voluntary work in the soup kitchen at St. Nikolai Church in Wismar, he shows that he has a good hand for social issues and wants to help people who are less fortunate.
And while he is filming the film “Suddenly Father in Law” with Uwe Ochsenknecht in Rostock and Kühlungsborn on November 7th, he is also staying creative and using the time to share his interesting stories and experiences from the film sector.
A loyal reader and curious mind
Müller is not just a passionate extra; he is also a loyal reader of the Ostsee-Zeitung since 1970! This newspaper always seems to him to be a reliable source of information, which is invaluable in today's world. He also recently used his research to expand his general education and discover new topics that help him to optimally position himself in the quiz context.
So he stays in the spotlight and takes advantage of every opportunity to learn, discover new arts and continue his extraordinary journey in the television business.
Heiko Müller simply shows that attitude matters. With a mix of humor, commitment and the absolute will to learn, he is a real role model for many who also want to go their own way.
