Despite his eventful past, shaped by alcohol abuse, violence and depression, Oliver Trelenberg found his way back to life. After his diagnosis of larynx cancer in 2013, he did everything he could to regain his health and started cycling again. The cycling not only helped him feel better physically, but also to organize his thoughts and leave old ballast behind. As he says himself, he wants to encourage others who have to struggle with similar fights.

As part of his tour, Trelenberg collects donations for the Cologne association "Wünschdirwas e.V.", who fulfills wishes for sick children. The association received almost 14,000 euros in 2023, which were collected by 71 cities on Trelenberg's three -month bike tour.
