60 years of trombone choir Neubukow: a festival full of sounds and tradition!

In Neubukow, the musical heart beat particularly loud on July 13, 2025. The local trombone choir celebrated its impressive 60th anniversary with a festive service and a happy festival in the parish garden. The ceremony attracted numerous visitors, including supporting choirs from neighboring places that enriched this special occasion with musical contributions. The trombone choir was founded in 1965 and has established itself over the years as an integral part of cultural life in the region.

Currently the trombone choir has 15 active wind players. Over the decades, the small community has trained many brass, which not only regularly accompany church services and community festivals, but also take part in regional events such as Christmas markets and Martinspeste. "It is admirable how the choir has developed over the years and always add new faces," said a member of the choir.

A planned change of line will shape the skill of the choir after the summer break. The husband of the new cantor from Rerik will take over the management and bring some fresh ideas into the rehearsal and performance planning. This commitment is necessary to keep and expand the cultural heritage of the trombone choir.
