Glashäger beach concerts: 5,000 celebrate on the Baltic Sea beach with Tocotronic!

Things got hot on July 10, 2025 at the premiere of the Glashäger Beach Concerts, which took place as part of the 87th Warnemünde Week. Around 5,000 revelers gathered on Warnemünde beach to experience a six-hour program live. The beach became an arena, where a colorful mix of folk, punk and rap took to the stage, ensuring a good mood.

The first performance began at 4:30 p.m. with the band “Lappalie”, known for their mix of folk and punk. This was followed by the “Les Bummms Boys”, who thrilled the audience with their motto “Brass meets Indie”. From 7 p.m. it was the turn of the “Hinterland Gang” – their German-language rap addressed provincial life and social issues. So it was no surprise that they also made the beach rock.

An incident in the water

The mood was briefly interrupted by an alleged dangerous situation in the water, which was addressed by the rappers Pablo Himmelspach and Albert Münzberg. But the emergency services quickly gave the all-clear and the concert was able to continue without any further interruptions. The happy faces of the visitors and the waves of the sea created a perfect ambience for the event.

The event concluded with the legendary Hamburg band “Tocotronic”, who not only performed their old hits but also new songs from their current album “Golden Years”. With a colorful mix of sounds, this concert will be remembered by those present for a long time.

A festival for locals and holidaymakers

The Rostock and Warnemünde tourism headquarters, represented by tourism director Matthias Fromm and marketing manager Axel Schümann, were enthusiastic about the response. “This format is fun and appeals to both locals and visitors,” said Fromm happily. The goal was clear: to create an unforgettable experience for everyone, with live music on the beach and the wonderful view of the sea at sunset.

Warnemünde beach is not only a popular attraction for music festivals, but also offers a variety of events from sporting events to cabaret and workshops. A varied program that is guaranteed to give you a holiday feeling and invite you to linger. The opportunity to relax in the beach area and enjoy snacks from snack stands or food trucks rounds off the offer and makes Warnemünde Week a very special event on the Baltic Sea coast.

In the coming days, visitors can look forward to further highlights as part of Warnemünde Week. If you don't want to miss this festive atmosphere, you should definitely stop by and experience the musical diversity.
