Fabian's mother, Dorina L., spoke about the incidents in an interview and corrected important details. Contrary to initial reports, she made it clear that Fabian did not leave the house in consultation with her out of guilt. She reported that on that Friday morning she asked her son whether he wanted to go to school or stay at home. Fabian chose the second option after leaving school early the day before due to feeling unwell.

On the morning of October 10th, Dorina said goodbye to her son at 8:30 a.m. with the words “love you, see you later”. Hoping to make Fabian's day at home more pleasant, she unlocked his cell phone so he could play. However, when she returned from work that evening, Fabian had disappeared. She first looked for him with friends and his father before finally reporting him missing. On October 15, Fabian's body was discovered in a forest near Klein Upahl, about 20 kilometers away. A DNA analysis confirmed the terrible news of the loss, and the autopsy revealed that Fabian was the victim of a violent act. The Rostock public prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation into manslaughter, but so far there has been no arrest in the case.

Investigations and new clues

The police have now targeted those involved in the boy's environment and the location where the body was found. A pond near the site of the discovery is also being examined. A new clue could potentially shed light on the matter: a walker found a glove around 100 meters from where the body was found and handed it over to an RTL team. The glove was handed over to the police, who are now intensively pursuing forensic investigation. The public prosecutor's investigation is based on the alleged period between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the day of Fabian's disappearance.

What remains particularly worrying is that the criminal police believe that Fabian was not killed at the place where his body was found. The police and the team of investigators have already searched several properties in the region, which is a sign of an intensive search for further evidence. Three vehicles and sports shoes were also seized during these searches. Mayor of Güstrow emphasized the importance of the investigation for the peace of mind of the mourners and the entire region.

Public perception and sensitization

In addition to the official investigations, the groundbreaking by the media should not be underestimated. More than 1,800 children are currently registered as missing in Germany, as Der Spiegel reported. The police have warned against speculation on social media in this case and have asked for relevant information from witnesses who may have been near the site. Given the magnitude of the events, it is crucial that the public works together to clarify the circumstances of Fabian's death and stop the perpetrators.

In the midst of all these dark developments, the loss of little Fabian remains a sad reality for the family and his friends. Despite the massive investigation, the question of justice remains open. The hope for answers remains - both for the family and for the community, which must digest this serious blow in compassionate solidarity.
