Mysterious death of little Fabian from Güstrow: New details come to light!
In the case of eight-year-old Fabian from Güstrow, who died tragically, the investigation is ongoing and raises many questions. On October 15, 2025, Fabian's body was discovered in a forest near Klein Upahl, around 20 kilometers from his home in Güstrow. A DNA analysis confirmed that it was the missing boy. The autopsy revealed that Fabian was the victim of a violent crime, which was also discussed zdf.de reported. However, so far there have been no arrests or suspicious people.
Fabian's mother, Dorina L., spoke about the circumstances of his disappearance in an interview. She rejected the reports that Fabian left the house on October 10, 2025, in consultation with her. Instead, she explained that Fabian didn't go to school that day because he was struggling with a nosebleed. On Friday morning she asked him whether he wanted to go to school or stay at home; he decided to stay home. At this point, the mother had already gone to work at 8:30 a.m. and said goodbye to Fabian with the words “love you, see you later.” They had agreed that he would not leave the apartment until she returned. But when she returned from work, Fabian had disappeared and she started looking for him among friends and her estranged father.
Investigations and publicity
The police have set up a special murder squad in the Rostock criminal police station to investigate the case. The location where the body was found is in a wooded area near a pond, surrounded by meadows and fields, which doesn't bode well. On Monday, a few days after the disappearance, investigators even used pitchforks to search for further clues in a dung heap on a farm in Reimershagen. But so far all traces have led nowhere. To date, there have been few clues as to how to solve the case; the police are asking the public to refrain from any speculation about the circumstances surrounding the boy's death and to show understanding for the secrecy surrounding the investigation results.
The high number of unreported cases of child abuse is a serious issue. According to the police crime statistics from 2024, there were over 3,600 cases of child abuse across Germany. Police-advice.de also states that perpetrators often act when they are overwhelmed, which makes it clear that outside help is also necessary here. The increase in violence against children in society should alarm and raise awareness for everyone.
Farewell to Fabian
The family is already planning to say goodbye to Fabian at a joint service in Güstrow. After the body has been released by the investigating authorities, the family can now take care of a dignified burial. This tragedy not only hits the relatives hard, but also puts a strain on the entire community in Güstrow. The shock is great and no one can escape the fate of the little boy.
