New momentum for Bützow: Christin Ziebarth takes over neighborhood management!

Something is happening in Bützow! On July 22, 2025, the new neighborhood manager, Christin Ziebarth, was officially introduced. After 16 years in Hamburg, the native of Rügan decided to return to her homeland in order to actively contribute to the city in her new role. She takes over from Mira Dieckmann, who gave up her position to emigrate. Ziebarth brings a breath of fresh air and a clear plan: to promote networking among local business people and to make the “Coffee & Marmalade” meeting place – KaMa for short – on Langen Straße better known. NDR reports that ...

The position as district manager is initially limited to one year, but includes the option of extension. This gives Ziebarth the opportunity to develop a sustainable strategy and strengthen the community, which is even more important in the current times.

The KaMa meeting place: a place of possibilities

The “Coffee & Jam” meeting place, which is part of the state program “Re-Start Lively Inner Cities M-V”, has established itself as a central contact point. Funded by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the project is dedicated to testing local products and café offerings. Ziebarth would like to carry this concept forward and expand the offering. The regional shop offers products from the region, and the café treats guests to coffee and homemade cakes from partner companies. KaMa reports that...

A special highlight: From May 1, 2025, the district management will take over the former KaMa café space. These should not only be used for gastronomy, but also for events, workshops and creative activities. The goal: to create a “third place” that opens every Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to promote meetings and cooking together.

A look ahead

With Ziebarth at the helm, the networking and revitalization of Bützow's city center will certainly receive a boost. Interested parties are invited to present their ideas and concerns. Whether by visiting the new “Third Place” or through direct contact via email and telephone – there are many opportunities to actively participate in urban design. Bützow not only has a new neighborhood manager, but also fresh courage and creative impulses for urban development!
