Rostock is preparing for the big Fête de la Musique 2025!
The Fête de la Musique, the popular global music festival, is coming back to Rostock in 2025. On June 21st, the city will be the scene of countless musical performances on 26 different stages, from Warnemünde to the city center. The event, which does not require an entry fee, will be held by Office for Culture, Monument Preservation and Museums organized and offers an open concept for all genres and people, which promises a community experience run by volunteers.
In anticipation of this musical treat, the range of artists cannot be overestimated. From singer-songwriters to bands to solo instrumentalists and DJ collectives - the Fête de la Musique brings music for every taste. New this year is the additional venue Lichtenhäger Brink, which will be perfectly integrated into the event.
A look at the program
The lineup already promises a lot of variety. This is how, among other things,Circus Fantasylots of energetic acts take place. At 8:00 p.m. the band Keen’s Bakery & Shop will delight the crowd with modern stoner garage rock, followed by Morpheme and their atmospheric rock at 6:45 p.m. On theMargaretenplatzFather's Day festive sounds start at 12:00 p.m. with traveling music and end with the Trancing Queens at 6:00 p.m., while inMonastery gardenFrom 9:15 p.m. the band Second Paradise will captivate the audience.
But that's not all: in the hallHaedge Peninsulawill perform Action Index Punk Rock at 7:15 p.m. during theWhale beach barimpresses with fabulous acoustic dance sounds. Of course, the classical genres are also represented: if you like jazz, you shouldoutdoor gardenDon't miss MURINAE: Prologue, which will perform at 7:30 p.m.

This cultural event is not only organized by... AStA of the University of Rostock and the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Volunteer Foundation, but also by the committed members of Fête Rostock e.V., who work with passion to keep this event alive. With a clear focus on non-commercialization at entry and an extremely diverse musical offering, Rostock will become the hub for music lovers of all stripes on June 21st.
