Rostock Seawolves triumph in Antwerp and secure their European Cup future!
A complete success for the Rostock Seawolves: The team achieved an impressive victory in the Europe Cup on November 11, 2025. With a final score of 75:63, the Seawolves prevailed against the Antwerp Giants. This is particularly notable since the team was victorious again just 50 hours after a strong performance in the Bundesliga, where they also won 75:63 against the Würzburg Baskets. Sports picture reports that Rostock's success ensures a promising starting position for the upcoming intermediate round of the Europe Cup, which begins in December.
What is particularly impressive is that the Rostock team had to do without their top star TJ Crockett. Nevertheless, the team led 39:37 at halftime after having previously opened a ten-point lead. But the second half got off to a rocky start: neither team scored a point in the first three and a half minutes. Antwerp eventually equalized and even briefly took the lead. But Rostock stayed calm and responded with a strong 8-0 run that gave them back control in the final period. DeAndre Lansdowne and Kassim Nicholson, who each scored 15 points, contributed significantly to the victory. Lukasz Kolenda was his team's best scorer with 20 points.
Positive balance and important games ahead
The Rostock Seawolves have now won four of five games and are defending first place in their group. Their next game is on November 19th against FC Porto, also at 6 p.m. In this crucial phase of the group stage, all group winners and the six best group runners-up qualify for the next round, which only increases the excitement.
