Rostock's divers are fighting for titles at German championships!

In a few days, on June 28th and 29th, 2025, the German C-Youth Diving Championships will take place in Dresden. The WSC Rostock will compete with a strong line-up of ten talented athletes - a remarkable step for the future of the young athletes. These include six jumpers from the 2012 class and four from 2013. The pressure is high, but the anticipation is palpable, as [nordkurier.de](https://www.nordkurier.de/regional/rostock/nach Growth-des-wsc-rostock-will-in-dresden-um-title-und-medalen-mitsprung-3705055) reports.

Back in March, the WSC Rostock showed what it was capable of at the indoor championships in Aachen. Here the athletes achieved remarkable placings. Particularly noteworthy are the achievements of the 2012 class, where Paula Marie Wieck and Lara Wigger were on the podium. Jan Chrobak caused the team to celebrate with a double victory in the one and three meter disciplines. There were also outstanding results in the 2013 class: Juliane Mank triumphed in both artistic jumping disciplines, while Malou Klement and Ben Streibing won medals in the “threesome” and the tower. Overall, the championship was a springboard for the entire team, which traveled to Dresden strengthened with new experiences.

Most successful base at the championships

The WSC Rostock has made a name for itself not only through its talented jumpers, but also through the excellent work of the trainers. Wenke Warninck, the young people's coach, emphasizes how important this championship is for the development of the athletes: It not only offers a platform for competition preparation, but also promotes team spirit and the ability to act under pressure. These experiences are invaluable for later life, emphasizes Warninck.

In addition to the individual achievements, the people of Rostock in Dresden are also happy about their successes at the German Indoor Championships for C-Youth, which took place from March 16th to 19th. The Rostock delegation competed here with nine athletes and two coaches and achieved remarkable results. Luise Rätzel, Elisa Holtz and Emma Yasmin Grube from the 2010 class and Jella Kiphut and Anna Kowitz from the 2011 class were able to leave their opponents behind and win numerous medals. Where else could you celebrate so many successes if not in Dresden, the next competition location? [lsb-mv.de].

Rely on the youngest talents

An exciting detail can also be seen in the general ranking: the youngest age groups, both B and A, often perform the best in diving. This is also emphasized by the report from germanaquatics.de, which discusses the successes of the junior runner-up world champions and the talents from Berlin clubs. The WSC Rostock shouldn't worry in this regard: the young jumpers are ready to prove themselves and continue the tradition of successful performances.

Whether it is possible to come home with titles and medals in Dresden remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: the people of Rostock show their skills and their passion for diving. Whatever the final outcome, the team has already taken a remarkable step into the future.
