A significant traffic measure is imminent in Rostock. From Monday, August 18th, the L22 Am Strande will be completely closed for at least eight days. This measure affects the section from Grubenstrasse to Wokrenterstrasse, which extends over around 600 meters. The renewal of the asphalt surface is necessary because the heavily used road is used by around 44,000 vehicles every day. As part of the work, 7,750 square meters of asphalt will be replaced, using around 2,500 tonnes of material. The Rostock municipal utilities are also using this closure to lay new pipelines. In addition, Rostocker Straßenbahn AG is planning to modernize the Am Strande/Warnowstrasse track system after over 38 years of use.
