Warnemünde celebrates: Monchi and Gabriel Kelly rock the beach!
Warnemünde, Deutschland - The 87th Warnemünder Week has started in the picturesque Baltic Sea resort of Warnemünde and promises a colorful festival full of music and community. Today, on July 6, 2025, the event was opened with a diverse program, which included local clubs, shanty choirs and traditional groups. These occurred in the Kurhausgarten and the traditional niegen and created a cheerful atmosphere among the guests. But the highlight of the evening was the live podcast "because it always burns", moderated by Jan Gorkow, better known as Monchi, with the surprise guest Gabriel Kelly. The podcast took place at the Wal Strandbar and, among other things, addressed new music projects and surprising confusion in everyday life.
For Gabriel Kelly, the return to Warnemünde was something very special. His parents got to know each other in 1991 through the Kelly Family during a appearance on site. The singer liked to remember this anecdote, especially since the connection to this region is of great importance for the Kelly Family. Old memories come up, especially when Monchi and Gabriel chatted about life as public people. The podcast ended with the popular hit "An Angel" and a humorous explanation of the "Ex or Kelly fan" drink.
A look at the music scene
The musical roots of the Warnemünde Week are deeply connected to the band Feine Sahne Fischfilet, which makes you listen to your new album “We come in peace” two years after her previous work. The band, known for its melodic punk rock, brings out twelve new songs that reflect current social issues. The title song not only addresses the band's history, but also the development of the musicians who had to deal with challenging situations in the past, including tensions and separations that occurred in 2021.
In addition, the band is known for its commitment to right -wing radicalism and social injustices. Her texts deal with controversial topics such as personal experiences, social criticism and political realities, and are full of energy and emotions. A highlight of the album is the song "Haut on skin", a ballad about Monchi's experience as a father. It remains to be seen how the reunited band will present itself on the next tour.
