The summer holidays are just around the corner and with them a number of construction sites that will influence the traffic situation in the region - especially in the direction of Schwerin. As the SVZ reported, the B104 will be completely closed for around four weeks from mid-August. The reason for this measure is a planned ceiling renewal between Sternberg and Weitendorf. This work is part of a larger plan being carried out over the lower traffic holiday period to minimize disruption to commuters and residents.
In the summer months, less traffic can be expected on the roads due to the limited school bus service and the reduced number of commuters. Public tenders for this important construction work have already been issued and more detailed details will be announced after the construction start-up consultation. The road construction and traffic administration of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania asks drivers to plan their journeys in advance and adapt their driving style.
