Residents are encouraged to apply for temporary parking permits while trash disposal and emergency access are secured.
Important closures and diversions
This is also affectedRichard Wagner Street, where from Monday, July 21st, access to Richard-Wagner-Straße 18 will be completely closed. Repair work on the roadway is underway here and is expected to last until August 1st. An absolute ban on parking in the construction site area makes it impossible for residents to park their vehicles while pedestrians are redirected to the sidewalk opposite. Additional construction sites and challenges
The variety of construction sites is not an isolated case and does not only affect Schwerin. According to [ndr.de]. Leezener Straße in Raben-Steinfeld is currently closed due to the laying of fiber optics. From Monday there will be a closure of the B321 in Pinnow, which will last for around three weeks between the pumping station and the entrance to the A14. This diversion is almost 50 kilometers long and could be extremely inconvenient for travelers between Parchim and Schwerin.
Grevesmühlener Straße in Schwerin will also be partially closed until the end of August, which will impact traffic and the local economy. A further closure affects sections of the B321 in Friedrichsruhe and at the Ruthenbeck junction until August 31st, with diversions via B392 and L06.
