On June 22, 2025, the popular Hofflohmarkt Festival took place in the field town of Schwerin, which attracted numerous visitors in the sun's rays and temperatures, which made even the most stubborn. Among the numerous stand operators was Joachim Volkmann, who caused a sensation at his premiere at the festival with a colorful range of old treasures such as a potato harp, egg cups and a smoker. The Hofflohmarkt Festival attracted a total of 17 locations this year, many of which were found on Karl-Liebknecht-Platz as well as on the meadow on the banks of the Bleicher and in numerous backyards. Despite the heat, there was positive feedback from the stand operators. Mariana Born, the organizer of the festival, was pleased with the good visit in the morning, but also recognized the need to better distribute the site plans in advance in order to make it easier for visitors to orientate. The cultural component was of course not missing: Donation boxes were set up as part of social engagement, the revenues of which the cultural association "Combine 63 e.V." benefit, an important actor of the local cultural scene.
